Day 306 - Once in a Blue Moon
Happy New Year and thanks for following my 2009 Photo a Day Challenge. We end this year with a blue moon...how cool is that? A blue moon is the second full moon in a month. But don't expect it to be blue — the name has nothing to do with the color. On average, an extra full moon in a month occurs every 2½ years. The last time there was a blue moon was in May 2007. New Year's Eve blue moons are rarer, occurring every 19 years. The last time was in 1990; the next one won't come again until 2028.

This is my office workstation, the desktop picture is actually a photo I took a few years ago from the plane window.

Day 288 - New York Life Eagle
The New York Life Eagle in Summit Ave. Lookout Park
In 1890, the sculpture of the eagle was originally above the main entrance of the New York Life Insurance Company located in downtown St. Paul. In 1967, when the New York Life building was demolished the sculpture was installed outside the Pioneer Building parking ramp. After being restored in 1999, the sculpture was finally placed in Lookout Park in June, 2004.

Day 287 - Through the Water Glass
All that remains is a swallow of water and a slice of lemon. It's time for a refill from the nearby water Carafe.

Day 286 - Chris & Rob's
I stopped at Chris & Rob's in Fridley, for dinner after hearing that it is one of the best places to get a Chicago style hot dog. I got the Original "Chicago Style" Hot Dog - Chicago's famous "Vienna' Brand with every. Includes mustard (no Ketchup), relish, onions, sliced tomatoes, kosher pickle, sport pepper and seasoned with celery salt on a poppy seed bun. It was very delicious, I should have taken a photo of it, maybe next time. If you really want to see a picture of it, visit their website at www.chrisandrobs.com.

Day 283 - Light Snow Flurry and Slippery Roads
The slippery roads and light snow flurries didn't stop us from heading out to lunch today. Driving home from work was a different story, the roads became a lot more slippery and the amount of snow increased.
